PURPOSE: To allow for easy assembly / disassembly and provide a useful, space-saving piece of furniture in the kitchen.

The Challenge:
Design a flatpack furniture piece to become more familiarized with Solidworks assemblies and CAD rendering.
The Solution:
My final piece is a modern dual-purpose flatpack for kitchen spaces. The top serves primarily as a cutting board, but can also be used as an additional surface area for cooking or placing items on display.
Takeaways:
This industrial design project felt like an elementary sprint because of its one-week duration, so through this experience I gained confidence in my ability to produce an idea quickly and enjoyed the exposure to a fast-moving process. Despite our brief not being very complex, I learned it is important to keep momentum and maintain forward-thinking to chip away at development.
